The BD SmartSite™ Needle-Free Gravity Infusion Set is designed for gravity-based fluid administration in professional healthcare environments. The set incorporates BD SmartSite™ needle-free technology, providing a needle-free Y-port within the infusion line.

The infusion set has an overall length of 270cm with a 3mm bore and a priming volume of approximately 24ml. It features a vented spike and drip chamber with a 15µm filter, providing a nominal delivery rate of 20 drops per ml.

A SmartSite™ valve Y-port provides needle-free access to the line, while the integrated back-check valve helps control reverse flow. The set also incorporates a roller clamp for regulating flow and a rotating male Luer connection for connection to compatible devices.

The tubing is manufactured from PVC, with DEHP and natural rubber latex not included as part of the material formulation.
